2025 Schedule Announcement
HiDOC is excited to kick off 2025 with classes beginning March 13th!
Our first session will run from March 13 to April 24, offering a 7-week course with classes held every consecutive Thursday, unless otherwise specified.
Location: All classes are held at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park, 10th St. West and K-8, Lancaster, CA.
Classes meet on the open grass area north of the children's playground.
Important Notes:
- Classes are subject to change due to unforeseen events.
- Rain will cancel class.

Puppy preschool
Cost: $90.00 for 7 week session
Prerequisite: Puppies 8 weeks to 10 months of age
Even Puppies can learn manners!
· Introduction to Basic Obedience
· Head Start for Good Doggie Manners and Social Skills
· Tips on Surviving Your Dog's Adolescence
· Puppies can earn the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy award

Classes are held Thursdays at 6-6:50pm and 7-7:50pm
Basic Novice Obedience
Cost: $90.00 for 7 week session
Prerequisite: Dogs 6 months of age and older
The night of the first class is for handlers only.
Bring your dog starting the second class.
If your dog is not coming to you, he should be coming to us!

· Control of Dog On-Leash
· Emphasis on Problem Solving & A Well Mannered Pet
· Dogs under 12 months can earn the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy award

canine good citizen (CGC)
Cost: $60.00 for 6 week session
Prerequisite: Dogs must have successfully completed HiDOC's Basic Novice Obedience course, or have good obedience skills.
Get recognition from the American Kennel Club for your dogs good manners at home and in the community!
· CGC is an AKC title!
· This class includes five weeks of instruction and practice of the ten required skills.
· On the fifth week AKC approved evaluators will conduct the CGC test.
· Class size is limited to six students.

Tricks
Cost: $60.00 for 5 week session
Prerequisite: Basic Obedience and/or CGC
Have some fun with your dog and keep his/her mind working! Young dogs, old dogs, all dogs – and their owners - can enjoy trick training. It's all positive, using food rewards and the joy of doing something together. Come join us for some fun, relaxed training with your doggie buddy learning a few old tricks and some new ones! Be sure to bring a supply of training treats!
This is a FIVE WEEK class. Fee is $60.00
A minimum of three students is required to hold this class.
Class size is limited to ten students.
No prong collars allowed.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

Introduction to AKC Rally
Cost: $90.00 for 7 week session
Prerequisite: Dogs must have solid basic skills and approval of the Instructor. Enrollment is limited to ten students; 3 student minimum.
This class is intended for those who have not previously competed in Rally and wish to learn the signs and skills to be comfortable to begin competing at AKC trials.
The use of prong collars is permitted, but no harnesses are allowed in this class.
